As a 17 year old high school student from Hamilton Ontario, I have recently constructed a large website which seeks to teach people across Canada the science behind development economics; the study exploring how to turn extremely impoverished countries, such as those in sub-Saharan Africa, into rich nations.

Interweaving ideas from some of the world’s leading economists (including Joseph Stiglitz, Jeffery Sachs, Paul Collier and Amartya Sen), the website serves as an educational tool for activists, exploring such topics as the history of global technological advancement, the means by which poverty reinforces itself, how Asian economies such as China and Vietnam were able to grow at unprecedented rates, and the role which foreign aid, climate change legislation and other international policy reforms can play in eradicating extreme poverty. In its concluding chapter, the website finally ends with eight realistic, specific suggestions for the Canadian government to implement which would profoundly better the lives of Earth’s poorest billion citizens.

The web address is PovertyEducation.com; I invite you to explore this website and welcome any feedback.

Thank You
